In recent news, Novant Health announced that over 170 employees across the Carolinas will be laid off. This includes 90 employees in Lancaster County and 81 in Winston-Salem. The layoffs are set to take effect on Aug. 25, 2024, and are a result of a new IT model announced in 2023.

Novant Health’s goal is to continue providing quality healthcare services to the communities it serves, and these changes will allow the company to scale its resources and invest in creating a healthier future for those it serves. Some Digital Products and Services employees may see adjustments in their roles and responsibilities, while others may have their positions phased out. Those affected by the layoffs may have the opportunity to join external partners or transition to new roles within Novant.
