Newport County has announced that Graham Coughlan, their manager since October 2022, has left his role. After 20 months in charge, Coughlan led the team to an 18th place finish before his departure. Chairman Huw Jenkins expressed his respect for Coughlan and acknowledged the difficult decision to part ways with him.

Jenkins highlighted the hard work Coughlan put in to stabilize the club during his tenure. He also wished Coughlan success in his future managerial endeavors. However, Jenkins emphasized the need to steer the club in a new direction to achieve sustained success and change the outlook of Newport County for years to come.

Coughlan’s departure marks the end of an era for Newport County as they look to move forward with a different approach. The League Two club will now begin searching for a new manager who can help them achieve their goals and take them to new heights on the pitch.
