Nebraska basketball guard Rollie Worster, who transferred from Utah, has been given the green light to participate in all basketball activities. This news was shared by CBS Sports College Basketball Insider Jon Rothstein. Worster had played in 16 games last season before a foot injury cut his season short. Despite this, he had impressive stats, averaging 9.9 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game.
The Huskers’ head coach, Fred Hoiberg, had identified Worster early in the recruitment process as someone who could elevate the program. Hoiberg highlighted Worster’s experience and decision-making abilities on the court, pointing out that he had been a key player in the Pac-12 for three years. Worster’s injury prevented him from reaching his full potential last season, but he had been a standout player in the conference before that. Hoiberg also praised Worster’s positional size in the backcourt, as well as his skills as a rebounder and defender.
Before his college career, Worster had been a highly successful high school athlete, earning accolades in both basketball and football. He was a two-time Montana Gatorade Player of the Year at Hellgate High School and excelled in football as well. Nebraska fans can now look forward to seeing Worster in action and the impact he will have on the team
