Neelkanth Cables, a Zambian cable manufacturer, has recently opened a factory in Dubai Industrial City. The factory is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and represents an investment of 130 million dirhams. The opening ceremony was attended by high-level officials such as Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Saud Abu Al-Shawareb, Executive Vice President of TECOM Group – Industrial Sector.

During the ceremony, Omar Al Suwaidi emphasized the importance of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology in enhancing the industrial business environment and attracting investment in the sector. He highlighted the collaboration with strategic partners like Dubai Industrial City to promote investment opportunities for local and international investors. The Ministry aims to support industrial growth and competitiveness through various initiatives and programs.

Saud Abu Al-Shawareb, representing Dubai Industrial City, stressed the role of the industrial sector in advancing the national economy and creating new job opportunities. He welcomed Neelkanth Cables to the industrial destination and emphasized the vision to support the growth of the national industrial sector through production of essential supplies like cables. The factory aligns with Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and Make in Emirates initiative.

Sanjeev Dubey, COO of Neelkanth Cables expressed his company’s commitment to contributing to UAE’s economic system. The strategic location of Dubai Industrial City was a key factor in choosing it as a site for new factory. The company plans to focus on research and development infrastructure improvement employee health safety to enhance competitiveness in manufacturing sector.

The factory will produce conductors cables for low medium voltage devices with an annual production capacity of 20 thousand metric tons . Neelkanth Cables aims to serve customers across various sectors regions including UAE Gulf states South Asia Africa .
