In the third round of the 2024 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos selected Jonah Elliss, a pass rusher from Utah. After reporting to rookie minicamp last month, Elliss quickly impressed coach Sean Payton with his work ethic and toughness. Payton was particularly impressed by Elliss’ family background in football.

During his junior season, Elliss had an impressive 16 tackles for loss and 12 sacks in just 10 games, showcasing his potential as a pass rusher. He was excited about joining the Broncos and praised the coaching staff for their focus on player development.

As a rookie, Elliss will be competing for playing time alongside other linebackers on the team such as Baron Browning, Jonathon Cooper, Nik Bonitto and Drew Sanders. Despite the competition, Elliss appreciates the family-like culture that the Broncos have cultivated which has made his transition to the team smooth and enjoyable.

Elliss is looking forward to mandatory minicamp next week and training camp in late July where fans will get to see him rush the passer for the Broncos. He is determined to make an impact in his rookie season and contribute to the team’s success.
