Newcastle United has officially signed Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year, Lewis Hall, for a fee of £28m. The 19-year-old left-back initially joined Newcastle on loan last August and had a successful season with the Magpies, making 22 appearances and scoring twice during the 2023-24 season.

Lewis Hall expressed his excitement about the move, stating, “I am extremely proud to be able to build on last season and continue my journey at Newcastle United. When you pull on the black and white shirt, there is no feeling like it and playing in front of the best supporters in the country is extra special for me, being a Toon fan.” He also emphasized his eagerness to contribute to the team’s success and push for further improvements in the upcoming season.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe praised Hall’s talent and attitude towards the game, expressing his excitement for the young player’s future in a Newcastle United shirt. Having begun his career at Chelsea, Hall made his first-team debut in a FA Cup victory against Chesterfield in January 2022.
