The 2024/25 FIS Freeski and Snowboard Park & Pipe calendar has been announced, with the season set to kick off in New Zealand at Cardrona Alpine Resort from 1-7 September. This season-opener is exciting for FIS Park & Pipe and Snowsports NZ, as it marks the return to a venue that has hosted many memorable moments over the years. It will be the first World Cup competitions at Cardrona since the start of the 2019/20 season.

Cardrona first hosted World Cup action in 2007 with snowboard halfpipe competition and in 2012 with freeski events. The list of legendary athletes who have graced the Cardrona podium is impressive, including Shaun White, Kelly Clark, Jamie Anderson, Torin Yater-Wallace, and Devin Logan.

The upcoming competitions at Cardrona will feature snowboard slopestyle from 1-3 September, followed by freeski halfpipe from 6-7 September. These World Cups will be followed by Australia-New Zealand Cup events, featuring snowboard halfpipe and freeski slopestyle. These competitions at Cardrona will also mark the beginning of the qualification period for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. With spots at the Olympics up for grabs, each competition from now until January 2026 will take on added significance as Park & Pipe athletes battle for a chance to compete on the world’s biggest stage.
