On Friday Night, the 2024 Eastern Conference semifinals matchup between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers took a unique turn during the WWE’s SmackDown event. Wrestler Logan Paul made a grand entrance with Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton for a Money in the Bank qualifying match at Madison Square Garden. As Haliburton entered the ring with Paul, he noticed Knicks guard Jalen Brunson in the audience and confronted him.
During May, the Pacers defeated the Knicks in Game 7 to advance to the Eastern Conference finals, with Brunson exiting the game due to a broken hand. During the WWE event, Haliburton tried to intimidate Brunson, but the Knicks guard remained unfazed and engaged in a stare-down with the Pacers star. Eventually, they were separated by WWE officials as chants of “MVP!” for Brunson filled the arena.
