The Pro Football Network has created an All-Decade Team for the 2020s, despite only being four seasons into the decade. This team aims to highlight players who have already made an impact and have the potential to shape this period of the NFL. While this is not a projection for the future, it is a retrospective of the past four seasons, and therefore, newer players with limited track records are not included.

When examining the New York Giants’ representation on this All-Decade Team, it becomes clear that they did not have many players make the cut. Running back Saquon Barkley and nose tackle Dexter Lawrence did not earn a spot on PFN’s team. The only Giants player included was wide receiver and return specialist Gunner Olszewski, who has been making waves in the return game since joining the team in 2020.

Olszewski has been a valuable asset to the Giants’ return game, averaging 11.9 yards per punt return and scoring a 94-yard touchdown in Week 17 of the 2023 season. Despite his impressive performance on the field, some may argue that including this All-Decade Team in June 2024 seems like a somewhat premature exercise since there are still two more seasons left in the decade. However, Olszewski’s contributions to the team cannot be denied, and he deserves recognition for his hard work and dedication to his craft.
