On Friday, the Ezzeldin Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, announced that two hostages had died in an Israeli bombardment on the city of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip. In a short video published on social networks and addressed to the families of the hostages, the brigades assured that “your Army has killed two prisoners in an air attack on the city of Rafah a few days ago.” The armed wing of Hamas indicated that “the only way the Israeli Government wants the prisoners to return is in coffins,” according to a publication by the newspaper ‘Filastin’, related to the Palestinian Islamist movement.

Hamas politburo member Osama Hamdan admitted that “no one has any idea” how many Israeli hostages, kidnapped on October 7 during the massacre of Palestinian militias in Israel, are still alive in the Gaza Strip. Experts estimate that Hamas and other militias kidnapped approximately 250 people during their attack on Israel, and today there are around 120 hostages still remaining, of which according to Israel, 43 are dead.
