In the near future, Trinity Health is set to open a new emergency center in Plainfield Township, north of Grand Rapids. The Trinity Health Emergency Center – Rockford will begin operations on July 9th at 6050 Northland Drive NE, just north of 7 Mile Road. This new center will offer experienced medical professionals available around the clock to treat patients with emergent conditions, injuries, and illnesses such as chest and abdomen pain.

With nine beds available, the center will be equipped to provide assessment, triage, evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and priority transfer or direct admission to the hospital if necessary. Kristy Perez, administrator of Trinity Health Grand Rapids expressed that the goal of the new emergency center is to offer top-level emergency care to people in northern Kent County and the surrounding communities in a location closer to home.
