The Sports and Nature Park in Forsyth has recently started construction, with phase one now underway. Located just north of Highway 20, next to the Shadow Ridge subdivision, this park will consist of more than 10 acres of open space, a five-acre fishing pond, and two ADA-accessible fishing piers. In addition to this, there will be a nearly 5,000-foot walking trail connected to an existing walking and biking trail.

During the construction process, broken field tiles were discovered and will be repaired to improve drainage in the area. Village officials are also working on plans for future phases of the park, which will be shared with the public once finalized.

The Sports and Nature Park will offer residents of Forsyth and surrounding areas a place for outdoor activities such as fishing, walking, and biking. The goal is to provide a recreational space that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.
