Six Kroger stores in the Columbus area have recently introduced new security measures to improve customer safety. One of the changes includes requiring customers to show a receipt before entering the store. Additionally, customers are not allowed to bring suitcases, duffel bags or roller bags into these selected locations, as indicated by signs at the entrance.

According to a Kroger representative, safety is a top priority for the company and all decisions are made with this in mind. The new measures were implemented in response to an increase in theft incidents. Although it’s still early days, feedback from both employees and customers has been positive about these changes.

The six affected stores are Brewers Yard on W Sycamore St., Bexley on E Main St., Great Southern on S High St., Northland Village on Morse Rd., Short North on N High St., and 3600 Soldano Blvd. Unfortunately, Kroger did not provide any additional information about other security measures that may have been put in place at these locations.
