Andrew Gaasch has been appointed as the president of the Mountain Region for CommonSpirit Health, overseeing hospitals and clinics in Colorado, Kansas, and Utah. With a deep commitment to patients, employees, and communities, Gaasch started his new role on May 20. In his position, he will provide strategic and operational leadership to the 20 hospitals, 260 clinics, and 16,000 employees in the region.

Gaasch’s strategic vision and leadership will be essential in achieving growth targets for revenue and market share, expanding the ministry within the Region, and building strong leadership teams. He will also guide the implementation of quality and patient safety initiatives. With 22 years of experience at CommonSpirit Health, Gaasch has a track record of results-driven leadership and has held various roles within the organization.

Prior to his appointment as president, Gaasch served as the executive vice-president and chief financial officer, overseeing the disaffiliation with AdventHealth and integration into CommonSpirit. He also has experience as the chief ambulatory officer and in operational and financial management. Gaasch holds a bachelor of science in business administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master of science in health care leadership from the University of Denver.

Under Gaasch’s leadership, CommonSpirit Health in the Mountain Region is well-positioned to continue building healthy communities now and in the future.
