OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center has recently partnered with The Health Plan, allowing for in-network coverage for Medicare Advantage and Commercial members. This agreement expands healthcare access for The Health Plan members to all OhioHealth facilities, providers, and clinics in the southeastern region of the state.

Brett Kim, Vice President of OhioHealth Physician Group, expressed his approval of the partnership, stating that it allows The Health Plan members in southeastern Ohio to access a wide range of physicians and specialists within their community. The agreement is effective as of May 1st and was the result of extensive negotiations between the two organizations with a goal of improving healthcare access for Ohio residents.

This partnership addresses the transition that occurred when The Health Plan moved out of network after Superior Med became OhioHealth Physician Group earlier this year. Despite this change, OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center remained in-network throughout, ensuring continuity of care for The Health Plan members in the region. This milestone showcases a commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare coverage for residents in southeastern Ohio.

OhioHealth now offers a range of services and specialties in the Cambridge area including Medical and Radiation Oncology, Pulmonology, Critical Care, Orthopedics, Cardiology, and Primary Care. To find an OhioHealth Physician’s Group provider near you, click here.
