Giancarlo Esposito, best known for his role in Breaking Bad, is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in a new film called Captain America: Brave New World. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Esposito will be playing a villain in the upcoming MCU movie, which is currently undergoing reshoots to incorporate his character.

Despite the mystery surrounding his role, sources hint that he will be portraying a villain, and the reshoots will include additional action sequences over a 22-day period. Esposito has expressed interest in joining the MCU in the past and recently confirmed his involvement in an undisclosed role. He teased fans by stating that the character he will be playing is “better than you can imagine” and revealed that the character will also receive their own TV series in the future.

In addition to introducing Esposito’s character, Captain America: Brave New World will mark Anthony Mackie’s theatrical debut as Captain America, a role he previously portrayed in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series on Disney+. The film will also feature Harrison Ford stepping into the role of General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross following the passing of original actor William Hurt in 2022.
