The Arts & Science Council announced that Adam Santalla Pierce has been named its new interim president, effective June 23. He will replace Monifa Drayton, who has served as interim president since December 31, 2023.

Pierce has been with the ASC for seven years and most recently held the position of vice president of community and artist support. He is a highly respected leader in Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s creative sector and has extensive knowledge of ASC’s operations. ASC board chair Tony Perez expressed gratitude for having an experienced leader of Pierce’s caliber to guide the organization during this time of transition.
