Gotham FC, the NJ/NY team in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), has recently made two significant leadership changes. Ryan Dillon has been named Chief Business Officer on a permanent basis, while Liz Montaño, the former COO of the Coyotes, has been hired for the same position. Moving forward, Dillon and Montaño will serve as dual leaders of the team’s front office.

Dillon’s background includes previous roles at Next 3, a sports investment firm led by Gotham FC co-owner Carolyn Tisch Blodgett. He also has experience as VP/Marketing at Peloton. With Dillon at the helm, Gotham FC has experienced significant success, including securing a major sponsorship agreement with CarMax and doubling its season ticket base. The team is also seeing a substantial increase in attendance at Red Bull Arena this season.

Montaño will be responsible for overseeing various functions within the organization, such as data and analytics, finance, HR, and legal. During her time with the Coyotes, she played a key role in the team’s move to Mullett Arena on the Tempe campus of Arizona State. Despite the smaller capacity of the arena, the team saw an increase in ticket revenue. Prior to her role with the Coyotes, Montaño served as VP/Finance & Strategic Planning at Panavision.
