Starting July 1, the State of Idaho will be transitioning its health insurance coverage to Regence Blue Shield of Idaho. However, dental coverage will continue to be provided by Blue Cross of Idaho. Benefit-eligible employees will receive new Regence medical cards and Blue Cross dental cards before July 1 to ensure a smooth transition. Each enrolled family member will receive their own medical card from Regence, and Blue Cross will provide dental cards for each household.
It is important for employees to update their personal contact information in BroncoHub to ensure that the new cards are delivered to the correct mailing address. The Office of Group Insurance website contains an “Important Regence Benefit Information” PDF, which can be accessed by clicking on the green button. This document includes instructions for new Regence plan participants on how to contact customer service, as well as information on verifying in-network providers and pharmacies.
