Oregonians with incomes above the traditional Medicaid limit now have access to OHP Bridge, a new program that offers dental, eye, and health insurance. This basic health program is the only state to provide coverage with no premiums, co-payments, coinsurance or deductibles.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recently approved Oregon’s plan to offer the program, which was created by a task force established under House Bill 4035. The program is expected to cover 100,000 individuals and is primarily funded by the federal government.

OHP Bridge will help ensure that people can stay covered and access the healthcare they need. The program marks a significant milestone in Oregon’s efforts to provide affordable and quality healthcare to all residents. This new coverage has the potential to bring significant improvements to north downtown Salem and create new opportunities for the community.
