Travis Hawks has been appointed as the general manager of Learfield’s Coyote Sports Properties, which serves as the multimedia rights holder and sports marketing arm for the University of South Dakota athletics. Prior to joining USD, Hawks worked as the Senior Manager of Business Development at Wyoming Sports Properties, where he exceeded sales goals and forged strong relationships with various partners.

During his time at Wyoming, Hawks created and sold innovative sponsorship packages, expanded the company’s network, and established customized partnerships with businesses to align their brands with the University of Wyoming’s fan base. His achievements at Learfield include being part of the Learfield Chairman’s Club in 2022-23, winning the Deal of the Year in 2023, and achieving multiple sales goals.

Hawks expressed his excitement about his new role, stating that his expertise in business development, strategy, relationship building, and team leadership will help take Coyote Sports Properties and South Dakota athletics to new heights. Jarren Duffy, South Dakota’s associate athletic director for fan engagement, praised Hawks for his track record of relationship building and creative solutions. Duffy mentioned that fans can expect new and exciting game day activations this season, thanks to Hawks and his team at Coyote Sports Properties.

Prior to working at Learfield, Hawks gained valuable experience with professional baseball teams, driving revenue growth and increasing game day attendance for the Helena Brewers and Mobile BayBears.
