In December 2023, the E.U ordered new sanctions against Russia, prompting Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Oracle to restrict or block access to various cloud services from Russian companies and organizations. Initially set to take effect on March 20, the blocking measures received a short time extension to give Russian companies time to find replacement solutions.
The restrictions targeted Russian companies and organizations in industries such as architecture, design, construction, manufacturing, media, education, entertainment, BIM, CAD, and CAM. However, individual persons were not affected by these restrictions. As a result of these measures
