The Brian Kern Family Stadium at the Beacom PREMIER Complex is set to open at Dakota State University. The university will host a concert featuring Old Dominion and special guests Brothers Osborne, Elle King, and DJ Blake Horstmann on August 27 to celebrate the opening of the stadium.

Trojan Nights will conclude on August 29 with DSU playing against the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers in the annual Ag Bowl at the new Blankley Field. The Beacom PREMIER Complex is a $41 million facility, which marks the first new DSU athletics facility since the Fieldhouse was completed in 1960.

The South Dakota Board of Regents approved the naming of both the Beacom PREMIER Complex and Brian Kern Family Stadium during its recent meeting. President of Dakota State University, José-Marie Griffiths, expressed his excitement about this milestone in the university’s sports history, stating that it is entirely privately funded and will help student-athletes achieve great success.
