The New England Patriots have a new rookie, Jaheim Bell, who has the potential to be considered one of the biggest steals of the 2024 NFL draft. A seventh-round pick, Bell is a versatile playmaking machine with skills that allow him to excel on offense.

TJ Brown, known for his work with top receivers in the NFL, collegiate, and high school levels, has been mentoring Bell behind the scenes. Brown believes that the Patriots made a steal with Bell, comparing his traits to those of San Francisco 49ers star receiver Deebo Samuel.

Brown spoke about his impressions of Bell, highlighting his athleticism and versatility. He recalled facing Bell during his senior year in high school and witnessing his ability to make big plays on special teams and as a receiver. Bell’s size and athleticism make him a valuable asset, reminiscent of Deebo Samuel’s abilities. Brown also mentioned that at the Senior Bowl, Bell was recognized for his exceptional blocking skills compared to other tight ends.

The Patriots had a pressing need for a versatile tight end going into the draft, and Bell’s unique skill set fills that gap perfectly. With veterans Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper on the roster, Bell’s youth and diverse abilities could earn him playing time sooner rather than later. This would be a significant addition to a Patriots team in search of impact players to elevate their struggling offense.

In addition to working with Jaheim Bell, TJ Brown has also worked with other Patriots rookies such as Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker. With these talented young players joining the team alongside veterans like Cam Newton and Josh McDaniels, it looks like New England is building for success both on and off the field.
