Orlando Health is set to build a new free-standing emergency room in Eustis, located at the intersection of Dillard Road and U.S. Highway 441, across from Kohl’s department store. This facility aims to meet the growing healthcare needs of Eustis and its surrounding communities, according to Orlando Health spokeswoman Danielle DeJarlais.

The new emergency room will span 11,600 square feet and feature 10 examination rooms, an imaging suite, laboratory, and ambulance bay. With the site covering over 9 acres, there is potential for future development. Orlando Health purchased the property for $5.2 million from M.D. Expansion Eustis LLC, previously the location of a Lowe’s store.

Despite the existing medical facilities in the area, including Advent Health Waterman’s emergency room just a few miles away, this new addition by Orlando Health will help ensure access to healthcare services for Eustis and its neighboring communities. While specific staffing requirements and construction timelines have not been disclosed at this time, it is clear that Orlando Health is committed to providing high-quality care to those who need it most.
