The Netarts Water District has recently launched its website at netartswaterdistrict.com, providing customers with timely service information and online bill pay functionality. This new addition offers convenience for customers as they can now pay their water bill using various methods such as cash, check, ACH/bank transfer, and credit/debit card.

The website also serves as an additional resource to keep customers informed about district activities and provides a link for easy access to their account portal for online payments. Office Manager Debbie Hess has received positive feedback from customers regarding these recent additions.

The district is grateful to the Special Districts Association of Oregon (SDAO) for sponsoring this project through its Internship Matching Grant Program. College student Logan Laity was hired on a part-time basis to continue with district modernization efforts after the successful completion of the grant project. Logan Laity is excited to assist in modernizing the water district, starting with the website and expanding to a Geographic Information System to monitor district assets. This opportunity was made possible by the Special Districts Association.

General Manager Traci Bean believes that embracing technology not only brings the district into the 21st century but also improves the customer experience and may attract the next generation of water industry workers. The newly launched website allows customers to easily access their account, monitor water usage, make payments, and stay updated on district news.
