Nelly Korda, the current world number one, faced a tough start at the US Women’s Open. Despite her recent success with six wins in seven tournaments, she struggled to keep up with the competition on day one. Only a few golfers managed to finish with a score of par or better, with Scotland’s Gemma Dryburgh and English amateur Lottie Woad both finishing seven over par. England’s Charley Hull also had a difficult day, finishing five over par. However, Korda is determined to bounce back from her disappointing start and make a comeback in this competition.
Despite her struggles, Korda remains confident in her abilities and believes that she can still win this tournament if she stays focused and plays well. She knows that it won’t be easy but is determined to give it everything she has got until the end of the tournament.
