Nelly Korda has announced that she will not be participating in the upcoming LET event due to a dog bite she suffered in Seattle. She expressed her regret at having to withdraw from the tournament in London to receive treatment and fully recover from the incident.

In a statement on her Instagram page, Korda apologized to the LET, sponsors, and her fans for her absence. She thanked them for their understanding and looked forward to returning to the course soon. This news comes after Korda missed the cut at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, her third consecutive missed cut after a strong start to the year.

Korda is not alone in her struggle with dog-bite injuries this season, as Alison Lee experienced a similar incident in January that required hospitalization and affected her ability to compete in certain events. However, last year, Korda won the individual portion of the Aramco-sponsored event in England, establishing herself as a force in women’s golf.

The LPGA will be taking a hiatus next week before returning for the Amundi Evian Championship in France from July 11-14, the fourth major of the season. Korda, who won the Chevron Championship earlier this year, will be looking to bounce back from her recent missed cuts and regain her momentum on the course.
