Nebraska high school sprinting champion, Mitchell Hupp from Stanton High School, has been offered a preferred walk-on spot with the Cornhusker football team. Hupp, who stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs 190 pounds as a linebacker, had an impressive season with Stanton High School, winning the Nebraska Class D1 Football State Championship.

Apart from his football successes, Hupp is also an accomplished track and field athlete. In the previous season, he won the Nebraska Class C titles in the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash with exceptional times of 10.8 seconds and 21.79 seconds respectively.

Sean Callahan of Husker Online reports that Hupp is currently facing a tough decision between joining the Cornhuskers as a walk-on or pursuing track at Wayne State next season.
