Nebraska football is experiencing an influx of talent from the transfer portal with the addition of Jalyn Gramstad, the reigning NAIA Player of the Year. Gramstad announced on social media that he will be joining the Huskers this season after participating in their postgraduate camp earlier in the month.

Gramstad played four seasons at Northwestern College as a quarterback, leading his team to a 14-1 record and ultimately falling in the NAIA Championship game. His impressive stats include 3,681 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and only nine interceptions with a completion percentage of 67.8%. He also rushed for 780 yards and eight touchdowns.

His exceptional performance at Northwestern College earned him the title of NAIA Player of the Year, capping off an impressive career. Throughout his time at Northwestern College, Gramstad completed 438 passes out of 647 attempts for 6,237 yards and 60 touchdowns. Additionally, he rushed for 1,822 yards and 31 touchdowns on 327 carries.

With Gramstad’s addition to their roster, Nebraska’s quarterback room becomes even more formidable as it now includes five-star freshman Dylan Raiola, Bellevue West standout Danny Kaelin and Heinrich Haarberg.
