The second to last game of the NBA Western Conference Finals was the most-watched sports event on Tuesday, May 28. The Timberwolves-Mavericks NBA Western Conference Finals Game 4 had an average of 6.87 million viewers across TNT (6.74M) and truTV (132K). This was a 16% decrease from last year’s Nuggets-Lakers game on ESPN (8.21M). However, compared to last year’s conference final Game 4 on TNT, which featured Celtics-Heat in the East, viewership increased by 5% from 6.56 million.

Following the NBA game, ESPN scored an impressive 2.07 million viewers for the Rangers-Panthers Game 4 in the NHL Eastern Conference Final. This was an 11% increase from Panthers-Hurricanes on TNT last year (1.86M). Compared to last year’s conference final on ESPN, which featured Stars-Golden Knights in the West, viewership increased by a whopping 31%. The Rangers-Panthers series was averaging 2.2 million viewers through four games, which was a remarkable increase of 37% compared to last year’s numbers.
