On Sunday evening, the Boston Celtics secured a 105-98 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Despite being hailed as a standout player in the postseason, Kyrie Irving struggled for the second consecutive game, scoring just 16 points, two rebounds, and six assists. Irving shot 7/18 from the field and 0/3 from three-point range in 41 minutes of play.

Luka Doncic, on the other hand, had an outstanding performance in Sunday’s loss. He scored an impressive 32 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, made 11 assists, and stole four balls. Doncic shot 12/21 from the field and hit four out of nine from three-point range in just 42 minutes.

NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins took to social media to comment on Irving’s struggles at The Finals. “It’s still early in this series,” he said. “Kyrie hasn’t made it to The Finals yet.”

Despite being down 2-0 in the series, Games 3 and 4 will be played at home in Dallas. Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday evening.
