A man was arrested by the Navasota Police Department for firing multiple shots in the parking lot of a business along Highway 6 on Saturday morning. The individual, whose identity was not disclosed in the news release, was apprehended by law enforcement shortly after 7 a.m. at Annie’s on Highway 6 at 105. The Navasota Police Department is currently conducting an investigation at the scene and interviewing witnesses.

As part of their investigation, authorities discovered a deceased dog in the parking lot, leading to the forthcoming charges of deadly conduct, disorderly conduct, and animal cruelty for the person in custody.
