Charlotte Motor Speedway will host NASCAR’s top three series this weekend, including the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity teams. The Xfinity teams will resume their regular-season schedule after a week off, while the Cup teams will practice and qualify for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600, a prestigious race in NASCAR.

Defending winner Justin Allgaier from JR Motorsports will be among the drivers competing in the Xfinity race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He is one of three drivers who have previously won at the track, along with Kyle Busch and Ty Gibbs. Busch will be driving for Richard Childress Racing as he seeks to secure his 10th Xfinity win at the 1.5-mile track, while Gibbs returns to Joe Gibbs Racing in pursuit of his second Charlotte victory.

In addition to these familiar faces, the Xfinity entry list will include newcomer Dean Thompson, who will make his series debut with Sam Hunt Racing. Chase Elliott will also be back in the Hendrick Motorsports entry for the Xfinity race.

Saturday’s schedule at Charlotte Motor Speedway includes practice and qualifying sessions for the Cup teams, as well as the Xfinity race. The weather for the weekend is expected to have partly cloudy skies with a possible stray thunderstorm. The temperature will reach a high of 84 degrees with a 21% chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race and a high of 89 degrees with a 24% chance of rain at the start of Cup practice and qualifying. Saturday’s activities will begin with the garage opening at 10 a.m., followed by track activity throughout the day, including the Xfinity race in the afternoon and Cup practice and qualifying later in the day.
