On June 23, 2024, the NASCAR race at the USA TODAY 301 Live Leaderboard saw Christopher Bell leading by just 1.138 seconds after 76 laps. The race was being closely contested with Chase Elliott having led the most laps so far with a total of 42 and recording the fastest lap on lap 3 at an impressive speed of 30.032 seconds.
The yellow caution flag was lifted for the first time at 2:51 PM ET during the race and was raised again in lap 71 at around 2:43 PM ET. Despite this interruption, Bell managed to win Stage 1 with a lead of just over a second over Joey Logano, completing lap 70 as the stage winner.
Just before that, Bell had taken the lead from Elliott in lap 42 after Elliott had led for an incredible 41 consecutive laps. The race began with a green flag at around 2:06 PM ET and an orange flag was raised earlier on at around 1:33 PM ET due to some technical issues.
