Denny Hamlin remains the top-ranked driver in the NBC Sports NASCAR Power Rankings, despite not winning last weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway. Hamlin secured a runner-up finish behind Austin Cindric and extended his streak of five consecutive top-five finishes. Ryan Blaney, the reigning Cup champion, is in second place with the same number of top-10 finishes this season as Hamlin.

Hamlin’s impressive performance puts him ahead of Blaney and other strong performers such as Brad Keselowski, who finished third at the recent race and has been on a roll with five top-three finishes in the last seven races. Kyle Larson also had a strong showing with five top-10 finishes in the last eight races, despite finishing 10th after an incident with Kyle Busch.

Chase Elliott, William Byron, Tyler Reddick, and Christopher Bell have also been performing well and securing multiple top-10 finishes in recent races. However, Alex Bowman experienced a setback with his streak of five consecutive top-10 finishes coming to an end at WWT Raceway where he finished in 28th place.

Ty Gibbs narrowly missed his third consecutive top-10 finish with an 11th place result, while Martin Truex Jr. struggled with a 34th place finish, marking his third finish outside the top 10 in a row. Truex Jr. has finished outside the top 10 in five of the last seven races, highlighting the ups and downs of the NASCAR Cup Series season so far.
