The Italian club Napoli is currently in talks with Spanish defender Mario Hermoso, who is available for a free transfer. Led by coach Antonio Conte, Napoli is looking to strengthen their defense by bringing in at least two new center-backs.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Hermoso’s contract with Atletico Madrid will expire at the end of the month and he has also been linked with interest from Roma and Juventus in Serie A. It is said that Napoli has considered the demands of Hermoso’s agents and may present an offer at a meeting scheduled for Wednesday.

In addition to Hermoso, Napoli is also interested in Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino as Conte’s top choice for defense. The club will continue discussions with Buongiorno’s representatives and Torino as they pursue defensive reinforcements for the upcoming season.
