In honor of Citadel founder Ken Griffin, the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) will be renamed as the Kenneth C. Griffin Museum of Science and Industry. The rebranding is a significant milestone in the museum’s history, taking place on May 19th. Griffin’s $125 million donation in 2019 has allowed the MSI to continue engaging visitors in the wonders of science for years to come.

Griffin expressed pride in supporting the MSI’s mission to inspire curiosity and imagination in millions of visitors over the years. The renaming of the museum signifies a new chapter in its legacy, made possible by Griffin’s generous contribution. To celebrate the rebranding, the Griffin MSI will host a free admission day on May 19th, featuring several new exhibitions funded by Griffin’s donation.

One of these new immersive experiences is “Notes to Neurons,” a multimedia exhibit exploring human connection through music. Dr. Chevy Humphrey, President and CEO of the Griffin MSI, extended gratitude to Griffin for his commitment to the museum’s future. The historic investment will allow the museum to create exhibits geared towards the next generation of scientists and leaders, support science education in local communities, and inspire inventive thinking in everyone.
