Crans Montana recently played host to the XC World Cup circuit, where riders faced an exciting and challenging race. Despite wet weather conditions throughout the week, riders like Riley Amos continued their successful XCO season with a perfect record in 2024.

Amos’s success can be attributed to his skills in difficult conditions, which he demonstrated by conquering the muddy terrain and securing his fifth consecutive win. Meanwhile, Olivia Onesti celebrated her first World Cup XCO victory with a strong performance in the mud, all without a dropper post. Onesti dominated the muddy climbs and built a significant lead over her competitors, finishing over a minute ahead of Madigan Munro.

Emilly Johnston also had a successful race, following up on her XCC Short Track win with a third-place finish in Crans Montana. Loana Lecomte stood out as she clinched her tenth World Cup victory after navigating the challenging course in Crans Montana. Despite facing fierce competition, Lecomte showcased her strength and determination, setting the stage for a successful run ahead of the Paris Olympics. While Alessandra Keller tried to close the gap, she had to settle for second place, with Puck Pieterse finishing in third.

In men’s racing, Tom Pidcock emerged victorious in the muddy conditions of Crans Montana, maintaining his undefeated record in XCO races he attended in 2024. With the Tour de France on the horizon, Pidcock’s win solidified his status as a top contender for the upcoming Olympics. Mathias Flückiger also demonstrated his skill by finishing just over a minute behind Pidcock. Additionally, Luca Braidot’s sprint to the finish allowed him to secure third place over Nino Schurter.
