In May, four local students graduated from the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science. This graduating class received a total of $7.9 million in scholarships out of the $32 million offered to students attending universities across Mississippi and the nation.
Lila Christine Jacks of Oxford, who previously attended Oxford High School, will be attending Clemson University in the fall. Ava Grace Noe, a former student at Lafayette High School in Paris, will be attending Mississippi State University. Max Russell Wolf Flaschka from Oxford, who previously attended Oxford High School, will be attending Case Western Reserve University. Ava Elizabeth Wilson of Oxford, who also attended Oxford High School, will be attending Mississippi State University as well.
MSMS is a residential high school founded in 1987 on the campus of the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS. It is a nationally recognized institution that provides a rigorous education for academically advanced 11th and 12th graders looking to excel in mathematics and science.
