On Friday afternoon, the city of Mannheim was left in shock as a police officer named Rouven L. (29) succumbed to his injuries from a brutal knife attack. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, he did not survive. The Interior Ministry confirmed his death and sent condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Rouven L.’s life was cut tragically short when he was attacked by Sulaiman A. (25) at the Mannheim market.
