Lanier Technical College’s Motorsports Vehicle Technology Program has been established in 1999 at the Hall County Campus with the goal of addressing the workforce shortage in various track locations, racing teams, and performance shops across the country. The program provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the motorsports industry, preparing them for successful careers in the field. Recently, four graduates from this program had the opportunity to work at the Annual Indianapolis 500.

Andrew Pasqual, Ian Keith, Anthony Alday and Tyler Scheele were able to secure positions with top racing teams thanks to their training and industry partnerships. Andrew Pasqual worked with Christian Lundgaard for Rahal Letterman Lanigan while Ian Keith worked with Sting Ray Rob for AJ Foyt Racing. Anthony Alday also worked with Petro Fittipaldi for Rahal Letterman Lanigan while Tyler Scheele worked with Will Power for Team Penske and qualified 2nd in the race.

Through hands-on training and industry partnerships, graduates of this program are able to secure positions with top racing teams and make a name for themselves in the competitive world of motorsports. These recent successes serve as a testament to the effectiveness of the program and its commitment to providing students with real-world opportunities that can help them launch their careers in this exciting industry.
