Moses Lake School District announced that board member Kevin Fuhr has resigned due to health concerns. His dedicated service and positive impact on the school community were acknowledged in the press release. Unfortunately, no further information was available at the time of the press release.

Fuhr’s term was set to expire in 2025, and the board will appoint a replacement following existing policy. Fuhr has faced multiple bouts of cancer and underwent surgery at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center last year to address liver cancer. Since then, he has been receiving ongoing treatment to aid in his recovery and address additional health issues. Fuhr also serves as the Moses Lake City City Manager and previously worked as the chief of the Moses Lake Police Department.

The Moses Lake School District expressed gratitude for Fuhr’s service and wished him all the best in his continued recovery journey.
