Monmouth Medical Center, a part of RWJBarnabas Health, is currently conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) for the 2024-2025 period. This initiative involves collaboration with various health coalition partners, local health centers, county and local health departments, healthcare institutional partners, and community organizations to gather information about the community’s needs and strengths.

Abigail Thompson, the Regional Director of Community Health Education, explains that the survey results will help identify the social, economic, and health concerns and experiences of underserved communities. Previous survey results have led to the development of initiatives such as smoking prevention campaigns for youth, healthy cooking classes, transportation options expansion, and mental health training for first responders. Monmouth Medical Center is encouraging participation from individuals of all backgrounds and local communities to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the community’s health needs.

The survey is open to anyone aged 18 and older and is available in eight languages, including Arabic, simplified Chinese, English, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish
