Mon Health System is celebrating National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week from May 19th to May 25th by recognizing and honoring the emergency medical professionals who are vital members of their community’s health. EMS Week is organized by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) in partnership with the National Associations of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), with the goal of highlighting the critical role that EMS practitioners play in promoting health and safety in their communities.

During this week, Mon Health System will be showing appreciation for local EMS partners who work closely with hospitals to provide front-line care. Staff members from Mon Health System will visit some local EMS agencies to distribute treats and goodies as a token of gratitude for their hard work and commitment to emergency care.

Dr. Christopher Edwards, the Emergency Services Director of Mon Health System and Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital, expressed pride in partnering with EMS agencies across the region. He emphasized the dedication of these emergency medical professionals in delivering timely and high-quality care to patients served by Mon Health System. This collaboration with EMS partners allows Mon Health System to continue providing top-notch healthcare services to the community.
