The Helsinki Stock Exchange saw its general index drop by 1.31 percent on Friday, marking the first time in months that it fell below 10,000 points. This was the fourth billing day this week and came despite some positive news from air conditioning company Purmo about improvements to their purchase offer terms.

Despite this, Purmo’s shares still experienced a significant increase of 6.67 percent after the board of directors recommended acceptance of the offer. Nordea, Kone, and Kesko were among the exceptions to the downward trend, with Stora Enson and Konecranes shares dropping more than 3 percent. YIT experienced the biggest loss of the day with a fall of 5.45 percent.

Analysts had raised target prices for some companies in the morning but stock movement did not reflect this positive outlook. In conclusion, Friday’s trading day on the Helsinki Stock Exchange was marked by varied performances of individual stocks based on company-specific news and announcements.
