Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is cracking down on businesses selling illegal vape and marijuana products in the state. One of the first businesses to be targeted is Vape Society Supplies in Columbia, with CIDs also issued for businesses in Wentzville, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Bailey alleges that these businesses are violating the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act by selling e-cigarettes and vapes deceptively and Delta-8 products in illegal means.

The Attorney General has set a deadline of May 10 for compliance, requesting documents and information from all locations where the businesses conduct business. This includes information on business owners, organizational charts, products sold, terms of sale, inventory, and more. The Food and Drug Administration had previously issued a warning letter to Vape Society Supplies regarding electronic nicotine delivery system and e-liquid products.

In the warning letter, the FDA cited specific products being sold without the appropriate marketing authorization order. ABC 17 News reached out to Vape Society Supplies for comment on the investigation, but they have not responded yet. As the story develops updates will be provided.
