Mississippi tight-end prospect, Micah Jones, is scheduled to visit the University of Florida for an official weekend trip starting from Friday. Although he has already visited the campus thrice before, he wants to ensure that he leaves no stone unturned during his upcoming visit. His goal is to get a feeling of reassurance about making Florida his future college home.

Jones has only one official visit planned on his summer schedule, but three other SEC programs – Arkansas, Auburn, and LSU – are eagerly waiting to host him on back-to-back weekends. This could potentially complicate the recruiting race. Despite this interest from other schools, Ole Miss currently leads the recruiting prediction machine with an 89.6% chance of securing a commitment from Jones. Florida follows with 6.4%, then Mississippi State with 1.9%, and Alabama with 1.6%.

The ESPN ranking places Jones as the 14th best tight end in the class of 2025, while On3’s industry ranking places him at No. 486 nationally and No. 28 among tight ends. The 247Sports composite lists him at Nos. 550 and 28, respectively. As a three-star prospect, Jones has attracted significant attention from top programs across the country.
