On April 20, a 54-year-old male patient who was part of a group of Market Management officials involved in a traffic accident in Kon Tum made a full recovery after nearly a week of treatment for a brain hemorrhage at Cho Ray Hospital. Dr. Tran Minh Tri from the Department of Neurosurgery at Cho Ray Hospital reported that the patient was fully awake, able to communicate, and had stable vital signs. A CT scan after surgery showed normal results, indicating that the hematoma had been successfully removed and brain edema had improved. The patient can now be transferred to a regular hospital room for further monitoring.

The patient was initially treated in Kon Tum after the accident, where he was pleurally drained before being transferred to Ho Chi Minh City in a coma with multiple injuries. The scan revealed bleeding in several areas of the brain, severe anemia, and broken shoulder blades and ribs. Emergency surgery was performed to remove the hematoma. This patient’s case was the most serious among 15 patients transferred to Cho Ray Hospital following a car accident involving a group of officials and employees from the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department in Kon Tum. The accident resulted in one fatality and 24 injuries, with the remaining patients being treated stably for mild and moderate conditions.
