Minnesota United FC has announced the transfer of midfielder Emanuel Reynoso to Club Tijuana of LIGA MX. After playing with the team for over three seasons, Reynoso’s departure marks the end of his time with the Loons. The transfer occurred for an undisclosed fee.

Throughout his tenure with Minnesota United FC, Reynoso faced a number of challenges including a knee injury, visa issues, and multiple absences. Despite these obstacles, he played just 31 minutes for the team during that time. Reynoso was suspended by Major League Soccer without pay at the start of the 2023 season for failing to show up for training camp and was also suspended for nearly two months earlier in the year after missing a green card appointment.

With Reynoso’s departure, Minnesota United FC now has an open designated player spot and international roster spot. Reynoso, who earned more than $2 million this season, leaves behind a legacy of two-time MLS All-Star accolades, 24 goals, and 37 assists in 95 appearances for the Loons. His contributions helped lead the team to the 2020 Western Conference Finals.

Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Khaled El-Ahmad expressed gratitude for Reynoso’s time with Minnesota United FC and wished him well in his future endeavors as he bids farewell to the club.
